Isla Arena. Under the crocodile spell and the sea

Crocodiles have been venerated among the Maya for thousands of years; they represent the creative and destructive power of Mother earth. At Isla Arena this worship takes on sublime nuances when we witness the close relationship between humans and crocodiles at the Wotoch Aayin crocodile farm. This fishing village was also the refuge of the great singer and actor Pedro Infante, icon of Mexicanness. Here his voice was heard turning into laughter on the sunny days at the beach and singing love songs under the stellar mantle. A very interesting museum commemorates the love that Pedro felt for this place. Today the spell still stands between the gaze of the crocodile and the murmur of the sea.
